Meet Art PollardArt Pollard has contributed over 40 years of community service for the betterment of Saanich. Recently retired from a 32-year career at BCFerries, he strongly believes in giving back to his community as an elected councillor and CRD director.

A community activist for most of his life, his educational background (BA in Political Science ) UVic. Diplomas in Volunteer Management, Public Relations and Conference Management and his solid leadership experience make him an exceptional choice.

Art has volunteered for many worthwhile causes within and outside of the Municipality of Saanich. Art is a freelance writer, speech coach, and communications specialist with a proven track record of leadership.

Art has been involved in the following:

  2. Saanich Centennial Committee
  3. Saanich Block Watch  Area Coordinator Quadra Cedar Hill -17 years. –doubled Block Watches from 34-65  -largest block watch area in Saanich
  4. Saanich-Cedar Hill Golf committee-public representative -10 years service
  5. Quadra Cedar Hill Community Association – 7 years Executive Director-representing Cook Linwood.
  6. University of Victoria Alumni Association-6 years including one year as Vice President.
  7. Victoria Commonwealth Games Society-Public relations officer Harborfest and Airport Venues.
